Charles W. Garnache, is one of Maine's great storytellers. THE KILLER MONUMENT is credited a best seller by Maine Writers' and Publishers Alliance.
Garnache captivates his audience with this fictional, action-packed thriller based on the Stage Island Monument in Biddeford Pool, Maine.
A great story that you will enjoy as much, as you would, reading afterwards, to your grandchildren! You will not be able to put this one down!
Garnache entertains us again with a story about two brothers who come from a family that supports itself from lobster fishing. One brother is in school and called home when their father has a heart attack, now he must fill in as the boat's stern man or helper while his older brother takes on the Captain's role. Problems arise quickly when the two personalities clash and the danger on the ocean is ever present. This book is a page turner, full emotion and the reality of life's lessons.
Above comments by Margo Alley, author of WOOD ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE. Her website is biddefordpoolmaine.com.
Her title, WOOD ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE The Rescue of Tammy Burnham, is a historical thriller, bar none.
There are several more testimonials on Amazon, but Garnache is the proudest of the thoughts of an accomplished writer like Margo Alley.

Charles W. Garnache has a solid understanding of Maine, lobster fishing, and boats, and he demonstrates all of these in SEA SCORN. His enthusiasm for this landscape and this profession is obvious, and I would suspect that he also has a close familiarity with some of the types of people he depicts in his book. For the most part, the book is a swift read, and it does tend to have a valuable life lesson embedded in it, and I don't feel he beats the reader over the head with it -- it's a simple story, simply told.
