"About Us" is about my wife and myself. I do the writing, and she does the editing, formatting and cover design. She edits all of my work, but Nature was the first time she did the editing, interior design (formatting) and the cover.
This is as perfect and profitable a combination as we have been able to come up with in thirty five years.
There are too many agents who are readers for a fee. My first agent worked with me for a year at no charge. When on the verge of placing my first manuscript, he died. From that point on it was one scam artist after another.
Finally I quit trying to get an agent. I continued to write for the pleasure of it which actually is the only reason to write to begin with. Print On Demand (POD) is the salvation for all writers who have marketing skills and who would like to get published and marketed in a reasonable amount of time.
My emphasis is on Natural Law Private Property Rights, the creator of wealth. The destroyers of wealth (progress) are progressives and out-of-control governments. This is what Poverty a Violation of Law is all about.
I try to follow Ernest Hemingway's style -- hook the reader on the first page, and use short sentences and paragrahs. The Old Man And The Sea has only one character, for the most part. My None Such Mountain (to be published soon) is basically the same. I have one character who is stressed beyond endurance. His fatigued brain talks and guides him through his ordeal. As his thoughts appear to him as New Thought and Old Thought, one character becomes three, making dialouge possible.
